Trust them. Yes, sometimes they fail you.  But do they ever really fail you where you ended up worse than you were before? The thing with trusting your instincts is that you might miss out on a great meal or you might not ride that roller coaster, but you are still back at zero when it's all said and done.  Granted you might not like being back at zero, but you'll sure as hell be glad you didn't get food poisoning.  That is the price you pay.  A missed opportunity.

Granted, small opportunities sometimes become big ones, but rarely on gut choices.  Name one company that grew enormously on one gut choice.
