When to be the expert and hold back

You are the expert in your field. You want to show everyone what you know. But now your main communication medium is the web. You are not an expert at the web, much less messaging on the web. So when it comes time to communicate your message on the web, listen to the experts. Let them explain to you why everything you say in a speech or seminar isn't appropriate for your website. Then let that sink in. Giving the customer what they want requires the discipline to hold back and let the experts tell you how much content is too much content.
